TeachingThe subjects at Silkeborg Højskole are divided into three categories:
Main subjects
You are supposed to choose one of the following six subjects:
Music, Nature and Outdoor Life, Politics, Art Studio, Third World Studies, EuroClass.
Common core subjects
You can choose two of the following eleven subjects:
Religion and Christianity, Literature, Philosophy and History of ideas, Communication and Media, Ecology, Psychology, Sociology, Pedagogy, Anthropology, Intercultural Learning, Basic Danish.
Optional subjects
You choose 3 or 4 subjects within the following 5 fields:
Nature and Outdoor life, Music, Sport, Art, Communication.
Moreover, the weekly timetable contains:
ThursdayForum
A morning with a different programme every week, for instance a lecture, a political debate, an art happening, an excursion, a concert.
