Fees and GrantsA stay at Silkeborg Højskole in the period August 2012 to June 2013 is DKK 1,275.00 per week.
This price covers: Food, lodging in a double room, teaching, a folk high school songbook, a T-shirt, a students’ picture and study tours in Denmark.
In connection with your registration you will be asked to pay an admission fee of DKK 1,000.00.
A single room is DKK 300.00 extra per week.

Discounts
You may obtain a discount on your high school stay depending on the length of the course:
- 34 weeks: DKK 4,000.00
- 39 weeks: DKK 5,000.00
Grants
If you are a citizen from one of the 12 recent EU countries, special rules apply to the effect that we can obtain a scholarship for you from the Danish Agency for Universities and Internationalisation (previously called Cirius). This means that your self-payment will be very low, depending on which course you choose. We will supply you with detailed information in every single case. Getting a scholarship means, however, that you are not entitled to other discounts. Please note that the above special scholarship for students from the 12 recent EU countries will cease to exist as per 31.12.2012.
Admission to Silkeborg Højskole
You will be registered at Silkeborg Højskole by sending the completed application form in a letter or mailing your application via application form. You must be 17½ years when commencing your studies.

One month before school commences we will send you an introduction letter as well as the necessary practical information.
